Hello,
My house insurance with Mapfre is going up every year and I need to try to find better price.
Do you know any comparison web sites to find better quote.
I have around 37 days until my renewal.
Thanks in advance.

Thank you.
As the quote required is for second home the site will not allow me to use foreign post code for main residance.
Is there a way around it?

Watch out for the small print on your contract. It probably doesn't allow you to cancel within one month of renewal. Check it out.
PS Talk to Alfonso at broker Gran Alicant Insurance.

Sorry, I don't know.
I imagine that as a Spanish site it's set up for Spanish addresses.

I agree with HerefordJack, speak to Alfonso but really you will probably only have 7 days to cancel the Mapre insurance.
Most people's insurances are going up and up but as advised, cheaper usually means less cover and it could end up being a false economy. Read all the T&Cs, not just the main points, boring but essential.

It's asking for the address you want to insure.
Just use that.
Why do you think they'd want your UK address, even though it's your main home?

Hi , As this is holyday home insurance (second home) it's asking for both, main residence postcode and second home post code.

I don't understand. First it asks your relationship with the house. I said I was the owner and got the (very cheap, compared to Mapfre) quotes in the screenshot I've attached. At no time did it ask for a secondary address.
Likewise, I started another quote saying I was the tenant and that never asked for two addresses either.
I'd suggest you just say you're the owner if that's the case, but I'm wondering how the holiday home part came into it?
