Hi,
We have a trip planned for Christmas to Santa Pola - we had hoped to be asking what is on during this period, but the way things are we are wondering what the situation with the virus will be and whether our flight wlll be cancelled. We have come to Spain, Nerja, Benidorm, Alicante for over 12 years and look forward to every trip.
What is the current situation with the virus in your area - please advise

Hi Sarah
We have been in Santa Pola since July and all seems pretty good here. Obviously the 'normal' social distancing and mask requirements but I've not seen reports of any 'outbreaks' since July (that is group infections rather than individuals). The town was very busy in August for Spanish holidays but quietening down now. Some bars are more rigourous than others in cleansing etc.
We return to UK in 3 weeks but have also booked to return for Christmas. Fingers crossed!

Hi,
Thank you very much for your prompt reply - if the virus continues to escalate in UK - none of us might get into Spain at Christmas - our Winter holiday is all important to us and sets us up for the year - we can only hope that things get better.

We are also booked to go to our apartment for Christmas and New Year, it will be our first visit since September 2019 due to Covid-19 so we are also keeping everything crossed and hope that we can go our home in Spain
