Hubby & I have just returned to Australia from our SP apartment. Missing my new bed ! Missing my Serrano ham! Missing the warm! It’s sunny but chilly wind here in Aus being winter.
However, we have made the decision to make a more permanent move early in the new year when Summer here is tailing off.
Now, if I can just find a little job......

Hi Angela and Mike, It was nice meeting you both back in May, (unless there are another couple called Angela and Mike in Santa Pola!), I am coming over in September, so maybe we can all have another get together! (Sallys friend).

We are visiting Sanda Pola in Sept to have a look at property. Flying into alicante airport. Any advice on getting from airport to hotel? How much is a taxi likely to be? Thanks

I took a taxi from Santa Pola to the airport, 20 euros, but I have a Spanish friend who booked it and ensured I wasn't ripped off.
There is a bus from the airport to Santa Pola, its not very frequent, I made the mistake of listening to advice to get a bus to Alacanti town centre, then a bus to Santa Pola, as Alacanti is in the opposite direction, it took ages, buses are quite cheap though.
Take a map and a compass as the Spanish do not appear to be that good with geography, I did have a map of Santa Pola, but the bus driver couldn't show me where on the map the bus terminal in Santa Pola was. Its only five or ten minutes walk from the sea, but it appeared none of the Spanish people there kbew the direction of the sea, so I ended up getting a cab who of course made sure to earn some money from me.

Taxis are right out the front of the terminal. Roughly 15-20mins drive and around €23 dependant on day of the week & time of day.
Enjoy your stay!
