Hi I'm going to be in Santa pola with my partner end of June till the beginning of September. He is learning Spanish at the moment and he would like to meet up with someone Spainish to practice his conversational Spanish on. Preferably aged 50s upwards. Can also travel to Gran Alacant though santa pola would be preferable. Many thanks

I'm puzzled there have been no replies to my post. I suppose i just have to have patience and wait and see

Hi Susan,

A few ideas.

Every shop or bar he goes into he should speak Spanish. Speak to your neighbours

Don't put an age limit on it, if you speak with children you won't feel shy thinking they might correct you.

Put TV or radio in your place in spanish all day, you don't have to concentrate on the programme, it just gets you into the habit of the rythm of Spanish.

Try to read a local newspaper or magazine now and then.

Above all don't be shy about trying, remember you learnt english just by listening and trying, and it worked.

Above all, have a good time.

Cheers, J

Hello

You asked to meet someone Spanish but  I doubt there are many Spanish people who  would be on this forum as posts are usually in English .

Cheers
