Evening all

[Unfortunate typos have now been corrected, although I must say sh*t would probably smell better than the chemicals I could smell last night :-) ]

Does the local government do broad-scale spraying of insecticides to control mozzies?

The evening air is smelling pretty unpleasant tonight (in a chemical/sulphurous way) and I’m on asthma meds for a chest infection. I want to know whether I should be shutting the windows.

Thank you.

Shitting the windows will only make the smell worse! 🤔

😂😂😂

A great chance to ask what is the problem with the amount of typos and spelling mistakes on this forum?

Poor RayD tries to get everyone into all things Spanish 😉

What about English first??   🤔

Perhaps it’s a “I’m too gorgeous” to go to Specsavers problem? 🤓

Or are the spelling errors as a result of trying to type on mobile phones in the dark?

WonderWoman, you’ve given us a laugh tonight.   Hope smell is gone by morning.

In time you will find out that strange smells and barking dogs are part of everyday life in Spain😷

Thank you, RayD

I will shUt the windows when it gets too smelly for my liking.

My father grew up on a small farm in Galicia, where I lived for three years. I love the smell of cow manure, blood & bone and the countryside, but the cocktail I sniffed last night was downright nasty.

I hope the local govt is not using chemicals that will adversely affect the beautiful migratory birds that come here. I grew up and continue to live in Australia (I’m just visiting here for a few weeks), where fly screens on windows are a standard fixture. I’m amazed that this is not the case here. However, I did pack my trusty Aussie Aerogard repellant.

That’s good to hear. Either I’m staying in a spot where the buildings and their generally older owners pre-date mosquiteras (Playa Lisa, Santa Pola) or I need to look harder.

Nah, MeathMaria

My typos had nothing to do with “Spanish first, English first, or ‘I’m too gorgeous to use spectacles’ “.

They were quite simply the result of fatigue and human error.

I found the other correspondents’ witticisms were quite funny. Yours were patronising.
