Beaches and jellyfish
I’m coming out to Santa Pola in 3 weeks time. Can anyone tell me if the beach is open, seeing stories about jellyfish and beach closures, however I know British news papers do over dramatise quite a bit!!

Thanks. Don’t know what we can do about the Plague of tourists? I have come to expect my haven of peace and tranquility is gone for the next 3 months!!

Hi loopylass. We live in Gran Playa and the beaches here have been open all year and remain so. They did have jellyfish warning flags out for a couple of weeks but it didn't stop people going in the sea and the flags have now been taken down. Enjoy your holiday. Regards, Russ
Been to the beaches several times no problem just be aware as you would in the UK!

Saw a Spanish man carry a jellyfish to a waste bin on his flip flop at La Marina yesterday so they are still around - beware!
