Hi all,

My mother has been unable to get her thyroid meds from the chemist today. It would appear her SIP card has expired and they wouldn’t allow her to pay out of pocket.

What is the normal procedure to renew it?  I’ve asked her to check her padron - it may also be due for reconfirmation.
Do we take padron, green card and passport to Health centre ? Do they issue on the spot generally speaking or does it come in the mail.?

Many tia

Caroline

Without wishing to appear rude ...

- How old is your mother ?

- Does she receive a UK state pension ?

- Does she have an S1 form ?

Hello

I did wonder if it was a temporary SIP card.. Mine is the  normal  SIP & has never expired , it  was replaced by my clinic some years ago as it  was quite worn  and wasn't registering when it was swiped on their machine, that was done immediately when I made an appointment. Perhaps if you answer Kelvin1960 questions it will explain more

Cheers

Think the only SIP that would be refused would be a temporary one...

Does your mum have Residencia?

Kind regards, Steve
