My partner and I have a second home in Santa Pola and were planning to retire to there in the next few years.  Due to early retirement our plans may be fast tracked but we still have a 15 year old that needs schooling.

Which are the best English speaking schools in the Santa Pola / Alicante area ? And are they all private ?  Can he do A levels in a English speaking Spanish state school if there is one ?

I know my son would be better off in a Spanish school but emigrating is a big enough step for him to start with.

thank you so much

we really cannot decide what to do - before or after a levels.

We do not really want to stay in the uk and it is only the schooling that is hindering us.  I am already pretty fluent so that will help him.

Which area are you in ?

I am a secondary school teacher. The Spanish system is very different to back home. The British schools in Spain teach to the UK system and are inspected by UK inspectors. Younger kids could adapt to the Spanish system but it would be tough for a teenager.
