Although your EHIC card would be valid up until the end of December, it’s never a good idea to travel without health insurance as part of your travel arrangements.

However, make sure that you check in detail with your proposed insurer that they will cover you for Covid, as some of them apparently will and some of them apparently won’t. EHIC should cover you for basic treatment, but wont cover any extra repatriation costs etc....

Although I live in Torrevieja I also love Santa Pola and we go there quite often so I understand you wanting to go there to have a bit of peace and reflection.

As for your health card I'm not too sure so I'm sorry that I can't help but not too sure about insurance either.  Type it into the forum search engine and look at the guides to Spain on here aswell. Hopefully someone else on here will be able to help you. As for the covid situation you can also search this but you must wear a mask in public at all times except when eating and drinking but I'll let someone else give you more details.

 Cheaper renting, I saw a studio flat for rent in SP 300€ PM. Regarding EHIC card, it is valid until 31dec 2020.

I did read for people holidaying like me, the Ehic card will still be valid , until I rtn, as I’ve came prior, to 31st.
