Yes.  Trade deals, freedom of movement of people and goods.  No holds ups at customs, bi-lateral trade.  I'd call that fairly stable.  Now look at it.

I didn’t vote for Brexit, but don’t harp back to the good old days, what’s the point? It’s done, we’re here now in a different world, just get on with it and stop moping like you’ve split up from your first girlfriend and life seems lost without her….

If you think for one second that I'm moping, you're jumping to unwarranted conclusions. The point of the piece is satire; 

satire being the use of humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize people’s stupidity or vices, particularly in the concept of contemporary politics, and other topical issues.
