Has anyone had difficulties after purchasing property in Santa Pola to get the account for Hidraqua changed into their name.  We purchased in November and still having difficulties.  We had the visit from the architect back in Feb, but apparently the town hall has asked for two more things (trying to find out what) which the architect and solicitor have no idea what they are.  Any experience, advice, ideas would be welcome

Why isn’t your solicitor doing this for you? It should have been done by them as part of their fee when you purchased the house. Insist he does the work you’ve paid him to do.

Thanks, they are dealing with it, just wondering if anybody else had experienced a delay

There is a Hidraqua office in Santa Pola.

We had a problem setting up payments, but made an appointment with them, met with a helpful english speaking lady, and it was quickly sorted,

You need to obtain your "Certificado de Habitabilidad", from Departamento de Urbanizacion, 3rd floor at the Town Hall. It could take anything up to a month but without it, Hidraqua will not change the name on your account. Your certificate should be easy to obtain, but be sure to take your Deeds or copy of these when requesting it.

As one poster has already mentioned, staff at the Hidraqua offices are generally very helpful in Santa Pola.
