Starting 2 or 3 nights ago, in Sax at 2000h (why 8pm?, I don´t know), a few neighbours in our long street were clapping from their balcony´s. Now at 8pm nearly everyone emerges from their front gardens/ balcony´s, at spot on 2000hrs. I have been in Sax for many years but only lived here for a couple of months. Particularly in these strange times, (with the streets so quiet & although know many folks in town. Tonight, I have seen more of my neighbours, clapping & waving well across & up the road. There´ll be more tomorrow & in solidity for the services & for the neighbours old & young who are all feeling, what we are going through this, how long it takes. It only takes a minute to applause (whatever time, your area starts it.) If not, start it, try it first at 8, they´ll soon join in. aplausos para los cuidadores de salud

applause for health caregivers. I´ll be there tomorrow (should I say "here")

All to all

Hi where I am in torrevieja and it’s pretty quiet around here, you are right, as a few houses  down from me I have heard a lone clapper! Clapping, this is done every night at 8pm, so now I know! I will join in tomorrow night. T

Great stuff, hope it spreads. Pass it on. The spirit raises. My elderly neighbours were out in their garden, next to the street, clapping,& smiling. I´m sure it raised their spirits only & a wine-glass of cheers up to me.

thanks

We have also been hearing the clapping and noticed it was happening around 8.00 PM.  My husband had set a timer to see if it would happen again tonight.  Now we know what it is we can join in the sentiments for all these hard working people.

Thanks for the information and to all who are helping us.

Good. Now you don´t have to wait. You & I can be the first. At 8. Lets see if we can spread the applause quicker than the covid-19 & pass it on better than the virus can. As Amanda100 says: "I am not alone it's the most cheerful moment in the day!!!!"
