Hello, I have just moved to the Sax area and would like to meet some possible new friends. I am female and knocking on a bit and moving here has allowed me to retire a couple of years early. I have 2 dogs, a cocker spaniel and a collie X that I enjoy walking with and would maybe like to find some new walks to do. I enjoy trying to take a decent photograph although I am the first to admit I do not have an eye for it so if anyone knows of any photography club I could join. My Spanish is rubbish at the moment but I would like to improve. I also enjoy driving and the beach although we are quite a way inland here. I used to love taking the dogs to the beach back in Cornwall. There's also the local knowledge thing too. Sometimes just being able to ask someone for a recommendation for something is good. I am not so naive as to think everything will be sweetness and light - in fact, given that nothing I do is ever easy, I totally expect lots of problems.  Even just someone to meet for an occasional coffee would be nice.

I do not spend my life attached to a mobile phone or computer so you may have to wait a day or two for a reply to any messages. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Welcome to Sax Hazel,

Been here 15 years and love it.

With your sensible and pragmatic attitude, I am sure you will be fine.

The beaches at Alicante are only about 35 minutes away by car, you probably6 know anyway.

In case you are not aware, on a Monday (market day) a lot of people (not just Brits) gather at the top end of town for chats, meet ups etc.

El Casino or Victoria Bar are the usual places.

Best Regards,

Ed

Hi Hazel,

Sorry about late response.

People tend to start gathering from about 12.30  for a couple of hours.

Regards,

Ed

Also there are occasional quiz nights at El Quijote which are quite busy. And on Facebook (if you do it) there are also a couple of helpful groups, just type in Sax and they will come up.
