No, but I suspect that due to old age and so many health problems no organs would have been useful.   Having said that both my late husband and I would not have refused.

I agree. without into (all so people as always) I was only mentioning as options old or young for an option. All I know is inquire to those who know. Hospital Alicante..re organs for whatever are useful, old or no.

Hi Mr. Taylor, I hope you allow me to express my opinion without judging me. Luba

I certainly don't disagree with anyone expressing an honestly held opinion. The world would be a boring place if we all agreed on everything.

I have a few friends who hold opposing opinions to myself on several subjects. That doesn't stop us being friends, and it can give rise to lively discussions.

You can opt out of organ donation in Spain, and the surest way to do this is to include a clause to that effect in your will.

Making organ donations compulsory unless you opt out is a disgrace. My/your body is your own business and no jumped/coked up bunch of overpaid weasels in parliament has a right to change that. If people want to sign up to donate then that is up to the individual. The organ donor card system worked fine for years. Now one has to pay to phone a premium number in order not to be hacked to bits after death?!. If they pass this then what else will it open the door to? And they label trump as a nazi? Duck me.

Thank you for bringing this to peoples attention.

A sweeping overreaction, it is a disgrace to say that your body would be hacked to pieces, it would be treated with respect, the need for this being introduced is due to the large number of people needing transplants while good intending members of the public wishing to donate simply have not registered or carry a Donor Card.

An over reaction? How exactly?

It is the principal that matters here. Why should i or anyone else have to opt out of a program in order to preserve their body after death? You may as well say that the state now owns your body (because parliament says so) and can do with it what they wish after your death unless you go through the process XYZ (or rather just x). How long before the X is removed and you have no say. It is opening a dangerous precedent under the guise of doing a bit of good.

And it's a disgrace to suggest that my body would be hacked to pieces John? How so? I have seen what care and treatment is given to the living and you expect me to think they would treat your dead corpse with respect? I think that is a hint of denial my friend.

I am not anti-donor but i am anti the establishment deciding what will happen to my organs after death. They have no flipping right to decide that. And i have to pay to opt out? Pfft. It's a unfunny joke is what it is.

Thank you for all your opinions regarding a bloody confused. MPs deciding what to do with our bodies after death. When I have put this information this morning across my motive was to inform those who wanted to opt out before they miss it. I never thought it will stir south emotions in others. I am delighted and surprised. I am against the Democracy we are having. I do not call this Democracy I call it Parties Democracy. I hope one day we will have Democracy in which us, the people, will decide if we want to go to other countries and kill innocent people. What right do we have to kill others. It is up to them to change their system of government. Have a lovely day Luna

Hi Kim, yes my intention was to inform people who visit Spain and those who live winter in Spain and summer in the UK. This is what I do. I am shocked that I created such a lot of reactivity, when my motive was to inform others that they have a choice before 2020 when it is compulsory. I hope most people got the information by now. I was not saying to anyone to opt out. I would not be so arrogant that will cause me a headache. It is amazing how my good intention ha been misinterpreted. At least made me laugh. This is what i do when people misunderstand me. I laugh and laugh.    Lots of good luck whatever you do. Luna

Roach said the donation system has worked fine for years in the UK.. If it had, then there would be no need for compulsory education.

Anyone who decides to opt out needs to be aware that should they require organ donation then they would be bottom of the list.

After all if you are not prepared to donate your organs then why should you be able to receive one.

Food for thought!
