Hi all, and for a Free Offer!
After over three years, I had time to take some time out whilst travelling & learning & some history about in Spain, as emerged into the democracy era.
For anyone in the forum, that likes a read, or more importantly, for whom having connections with publishing, for what it´s worth, I would be only be happy..
After factual research; I decided after professional edits to use a novel/but factual format trying through orthodox publishers. If anyone wishes to peruse & make comments, I would be ecstatic receiving any comments. There are, may, being busy, but others who may have time to enjoy in the sun-shine; a novel. If interested, a PM for me & I can by an electronic copy in Doc format by email. Thanks for any interest, Villas.
Synopsis: “Call me Leonidas”,
When Vincent Ander accompanies his father to 1960´s Spain, both unwittingly become embroiled in one of America´s worst aviation blunders, the so-called ‘Palomares incident’. Two nuclear bombs explode in an area near the Spanish coast causing plutonium dust to pollute hectares of farmland. The clean-up operation continues to this day.
After the mysterious death of Vincent’s father, events ensue that plunge the young government linguist into the unstable world of 1970´s Spain, ruled by the dictator Francisco Franco; compelled to confront politicians, secret agents and spies, Vincent observes the lengths to which individuals and organisations go to promote their own nefarious ends.
In 1981, weeks after a failed February coup d’état, some 600 people die in Madrid, a tragedy that, to this day, the World Health Organisation still refers to as ‘The Toxic Oil Syndrome’.
Entitled, Call me Leonidas, this novel attempts to unveil the truth behind one of Europe’s best-kept cover-ups.
