Reality is Sax is a small town with a lot of Brits starting to move in the area over the last few years but if you seeking work the Spanish come first and if you don't speak fluent Spanish not much of a chance unless you get taken on by fellow Brits and hope they are genuine companies with a guarantee of permanent work as you have to prove income to residence

Again, (& sometimes, I have to disagree with Rodders.) There are opportunities here in this "small town" with a big heart. Sax.

I will agree the opportunities lie with integration.

Far easier with those of younger years, who (in my experience) gain far more. Enter an ex-pat community (&stay there) .....more difficult than integrating.

Seen it, & after 20 years here, I´d ask an integrated young, educated (here) immigrant (from where?......no pasa nada), or their Spanish friends, & will normally receive a reply delivered with respect. Something lacking elsewhere.

Rodders, I do not have the time or space to list the many opportunities,(bearing in mind employment data etc)  but I reiterate, Families, with children or teens, (in my experience have done very well in the Spanish educational system.) My offspring are now adults, but in hindsight (yes hindsight is a great thing), I wish I´d had the opportunity to bring my kids up here in a respectful community in which I have lived & integrated.

They too have experienced it & agree. My opinion only. Regards.

Thank you Villias for all your kind words of advice. We fully intend to embrace Spainish life and culture. We believe too that Spain offers the right balance to our children of work hard ethos as well as core family and community values. Both our younger children have been taking Spanish lessons for years and are ready to embrace the change of culture. We are experienced hoteliers with a background in providing high quality services to our guests. We currently run a holiday let with over 60 reviews with a score of 9.8/10 as well as construction experience in our younger days along with strong family and moral values. We feel that we would be of be value to the community xxx

Thank you. I applaud your determination. I might add, I have seen many examples in the UK of children moving schools from village to village or town to town with the same problems. Only difference here, is the language. At my age, my brain is a stone (& I´ve managed it!) mas o menos!, Kids of all ages have brains like sponges. Go for it! with care.

It's just everytime  I post you seem to ridicule me like your advice is better than everybody's I give my personal advice  and opinion  as what I've seen since I've moved here and don't expect to be belittled in public it's a phase of Sax where it's becoming a British hot spot and people want today's news not people who have lived here over 20 years and not up to date with what people want today
