Hi all

Can any one give me a run down of Salinas near Sax and surrounding  area.

We have seen a lovely house I want to buy as we are wanting to relocate to Spain but we are worried about not knowing the area and if we have picked the right area.  We love a community life and things going on. We want to learn the language and fit in but we do not know what the area has to offer. We are not retired age so would like to explore lots of areas of Spain. Love the country,  people, food and the weather.  Any information would be much appreciated.

Hi Julie

You sound like my Wife and I when we were making the move two years ago.

Our decision was to bite the bullet BUT rent in the area we are interested in, which we have done.

Not only does this help you understand if you like the place, has all on offer to meet your needs and also if you fit in but it also helps you understand what you need from your home to meet your lifestyle.

Also, please do not be taken in with sales patter from an agent (noting that there are exceptions to everything)...

We know of too many occasions where an agent will say such things as there is a lot of interest in this property, people are queuing up behind you but seeing as you showed an interest first..., the property wont be around long etc etc etc.

I say that, BUT, if you have your heart set on that particular property then it is not for me to guide you.

The counter argument is that renting is a foot in each camp. I disagree. If in doubt, do nowt... but with that in mind we would be waking up in a dull grey and drizzly UK!

Only you (as a family) know what works for you. Every situation is different.

Please dont fall in to the trap of selling your UK home, renting in Spain and in the meantime frittering away the money which you had to buy your dream home, that too happens all too often!

Good luck with your journey

Apologies to the original poster, just realised my response has nothing to do with swimming pools in Sax!

Hi

Thanks for your reply. I don't get taken in by estate agents I do believe if a house is right it will be there when I'm ready lol.

It was just knowing what goes on in Salinas and Sax .

We are going to do another trip soon just to look and drive around the areas.....Any excuse to come to Spain.

Thanks for ur advise.
