Update on the robbery!!!

They got the culprits of the robbery at alicante airport !!! Called into the court to confirm my report to be told they did a load of robberies on the same day and looking at the file which was like a telephone directory I believe them security camera stills etc. No money back yet however I was thanked for the prompt report got them the same day apparently!!! So hats off the the spanish police bar the fact they have been trying to track me down for two months even though the had my email and mobile 😀 So my advice is if the unfortunate happens report as soon as possible the damage has been done but hopefully it will stop it happening to someone else. And a big thank you to the Mrs who is Spanish who without the police at the airport would have done nothing 🤬

That is encouraging news on the back of your traumatic experience. Hopefully you may get something back, but not so sure... I wouldnt hold my breath.

Hi samtemp, thanks for coming back with the update.

In your original post on the subject you stated it was your laptop that was taken, but you mention money in this post.

I hope somehow your property is eventually returned.

The money reference was to replace the stolen laptop, as it was explain to me at he court they could have offered money to me ( the bandits ) however they don't have any !!!! so they are in prison, following due process and the trial the court may provide compensation or the bandits may miraculously find some cash in lieu of a reduced sentence etc etc etc. All sounds very strange anyway we'll see what happens as you'll probably expect i'm not holding my breath for any money back!!!!!!
