I have not heard that anywhere but perhaps someone else can confirm or deny for you. The attached article from the BBC relates to coronavirus increases in Spain.

I suspect it is a similar situation in a lot of countries that younger people are spreading the virus by ignoring the basics of social distancing, hand washing, etc. There are also a fair number of infections stemming from the food processing industries.
The UK is also showing increased numbers of infections over the past few weeks, as are most countries in Europe, though not yet as high as Spain.
In reality it is hard to compare covid19 infection and death rates between countries as there is no standard reporting mechanism.
What seems to be positive is that the number of deaths are not in line with the number of new cases, possibly because the new cases are mostly in younger people.
