UK have just overtaken France & Russia to become European champion of Covid infections. The big question is why the number of cases in UK is going the opposite direction to the rest of Europe despite 65% fully vaccinated ?

Mixed messages from an inept government that doesn't care and a percentage of the population who obey without question and are incapable of thinking for themselves. Just my opinion and not necessarily correct.
Maybe they’re more transparent at recording actual numbers ?
Uk 278 million tests, Spain 61m tests, Germany 70m tests gives a good idea

Are you suggesting that UK's figures are genuine, rest of Europe's is fake ? Hard to believe that.

What about Spain ? It seems their government is doing something right, UK's does not.
Could it be about citizen's attitude, like some people being more responsible, wearing mask, etc. ?
Brits attitude seem to be more lax, not taking it seriously. Regarding number of tests, can't see the point of testing everyone six times.

I would be interested to know your opinion on what the Spanish government are doing right ?
They have deferred all responsibility to regional areas ? resulting in hugely varying rules with complex and some very strange conditions.
Hindsight is always the best foresight and nobody can claim to have got it all right,
My family in the UK have taken it as serious as us here, and are still wearing masks and limiting contact.
I just hope for all of our sakes it all works !

It seems you misunderstand the post. Question was why UK's cases is going opposite direction to rest of Europe, not comparing total cases. UK's cases have gone up to around 40,000 per day, Spain's reduced to around 3,000 per day. Why this huge difference now ?
