Are reports of long queues of British travellers at Spanish airports true ? Has anyone witnessed or experienced long delays at any airport when entering or leaving ?

The only queues I encountered were in the UK, no problems in Spain leaving or returning.
Someone said a few days ago that Malaga airport was a nightmare but Alicante usually runs very smoothly as does Murcia with far fewer numbers.

I also heard of long queues at Malaga airport. Would be good to hear from someone who had personal experience at this airport.

It was on this forum a few days ago, a first hand experience.

We are flying out on the 9th of May and I need to finish our Spanish health form on Saturday 7th May. Our friends went to Cardiff airport today to clarify what forms are now needed, the information they received at the airport was that to fly to Spain we only need the British proof of Covid Jabs certificate and the booster to go.Not the Spanish form anymore. Can anyone put my mind at rest.As this is the first time we have heard this news. Many thanks.

I travelled through Alicante Airport this morning.
It was VERY busy but there were plenty of staff to check in large luggage.
A moving queue at bag Security with no delays that were evident.
Then onto boarding gate B where it appears that all British and Irish passport holders have to pass through electronic or manual passport control.
LENGHTLY queues for passport control.
People irate that Irish passport holders could go through without waiting to have passports stamped.
Not pleasant but not a surprise.
Airlines, plus Alicante Airport are advising people to attend airports at least 3 HOURS before flight especially if non EU CITIZEN.
Gate change for Easyjet flight to Manchester caused a lot of running back and forth...
So YES aim to get to your Boarding Gate in good time.
There are a few cafes, general shop, toilets etc after Passport control in B GATE area.

Travellers from the UK who can either show proof of being fully vaccinated, or of having recovered from prior COVID-19 infection in the last 6 months, or who are aged under 12 years old, do not need to complete a passenger locator form.

Thanks for the input. Don't understand why it is unpleasant that Irish passport does not need a stamp. Irish are EU citizens, aren't they ?

Hello
I couldn't understand that comment either as Irish passport holders aren't subject to the same rules as non EU passport holders ---unless I'm missing something! I havent been to an airport for 3years & no plans to right now.
