Paul and Eva:  We have just finished the purchase of an Apartment from Santamar in the new Elisa Bay complex.  It has been interesting learning how to navigate Taxis, contractors and suppliers to this new address [not yet registered and showing on any map / sat nav].  We don't mind a challenge, but even greater while living/working in the UK and unable to speak any Spanish yet.  But do love the area.

Had similar experience last week upon returning to Spain to furnish our new apartment. Took me 3.5 hours to get to friends apartment in Villamartin from Alicante Airport. SAT NAV kept navigating to Villamartin in Andulucia.

Back again in two weeks for the Easter holidays. Viewed you apartment in Elisa Bay lovely complex near the beach. All the best settling into your new dwelling. We are in Torre De La Horadada 800m fromthe Marina. Absolutely love the place.

Regards

Kwame

So nice to hear from people with similar experiences. I will be at home in Spain at Easter as well and probably at Popeyes on the beach when the musician plays, wearing my sun visor, if anyone would like to discuss how they have overcome their new ownership/furnishing new apartment/travelling costs from airport/limited transport links to Elisa Bay apartments.

So good to exchange similar experiences and possible solutions in a relatively under developed area.

Gary & judith

We are purchasing an apartment at Elisa bay and in readiness for acquiring the keys around may 1st we are in Spain next week looking for furniture/ packages . I was already thinking about full address of the complex what is it ? We have a Spanish guy with us next week so I'm hoping he will be able to explain in Spanish to the shop where the complex is . Most of the apartments had sold when we visited in February  phase 3 had gone on sale the day we was there and all the top floor apartments had already sold . Lovely area plenty of new shops and infrastructure going in this area we are looking forward to many happy holidays .

Dear Gary & Judith

Because our road is new it is not registered anywhere yet (this process is ongoing for a while).

Also, because we still have builders and machinery around alot of people can't understand that residents have started to move in.

The postal address for Elisa Bay Apartments we were given was:

C/Sevilla 7,

Puerta (ie, Apartment) number xxxxx

Post Code:03191 (Which I believe is a Torre Le Horadada post code).

No one could find this.

The lady in the showroom was being contacted constantly with requests for help with diections!!!

Then i was told to tell delivery people the existing Road Name and block number that runs along the back of our apartments which is:

Avenida Levante (no. 100)

So I now give people all of the above new address details as well as

Avenida Levante (No. 100).

I also give the Roundabout Turn off name as per the sign post Urb.Riomar from the N332.

Took me a long time to find our apartment last May. I discovered there are only so many wrong turns you can make before you will eventually find the correct one. Alot of initial stress has paid off now.

Given how lovely the apartments are and the area, i just cannot understand why no one has thought to put a sign post on the nearest roundabout turn offs from the N332. Just crazy situation and constant need to direct people from UK. Which is difficult working in a school job.

You are welcome to come and have a chat when I'm there next week. Cant give apartment number out on this forum so can only suggest Pop Eyes on the beach on a Thurs or Fri i will be there for the music. I wear a sun Visor. Unless the administrators of this forum can help.

People in Santamar show house know me.

Kind Regards

Eva (Passlar)

Nice to hear from you. We still have cranes around us. We have a north facing balcony, possibly overlooking your first completed apartments where the showroom used to be located. Our 1st floor apartment has curtains which I am currently sewing the hem on. Pop in for coffee or tea if you are passing and we can swop notes.

Kind Regards

Eva and Paul

Hi, we live at the top of Avda de Levante, near the campsite.  Yes it is a lovely area and hope you enjoy your new apartment.  We are going to be in La Torre in a couple of weeks, if you need any help just ask.
