Hi

We are an Irish couple thinking about moving to the area, just not sure exactly where

Is Torre de la Horadada very quiet in Winter?

We are not bothered about honky tonk but would still like restaurants and bars to choose from.

Also interested in walking and making friends and learning basic Spanish

Any insights into living there would be very greatfuly recieved

Thanks

Brid

Hi Brid,

Without boring you. I've lived in Torre 15 years it's great for all year living.

Most of the local bars and a couple of restaurants are open thoroughout the year. Pilar de la Horadada, typical Spanish small town is minutes away plenty of bars and eats open all year.

It's manic in July and August loads of Spanish holiday here, rest of the year it's perfect and very friendly.

It's a bit of everything, not as built up as other areas nearby.

I would certainly recommend it for permanent living.

PM me if you want more info.

Gina

Hi, I would certainly second the opinion of Gina., I have lived here for eighteen years and think it is the best place all round. It has got everything one needs if not locally then in the town of Pilar de la Horadada. By the way Torre de la Horadada is 17 kilometers south of Torrevieja. Regards Len.

Hi I would avoid any area too near the square or the beach. If you can try to look at property around the top end of Torre.you  will find some nice properties within your budget. Ask for Demar built houses. Regards Len.

This post that was quoted has been deleted.

Bearing in mind your budget and looking for a villa you might also like to widen your search to Pinar de Campoverde on the other side of Polar.

Hi, in answer to your latest question, I would suggest you look for property that you will find immediately you enter Adv Sanchez Lozano at the roundabout of the N322 by Lo Monte Hotel. I agree that Campo Verde has some nice properties but they not within walking distance to the sea. The whole area is hilly and one would need a car to get around. I realize I am biased because I live in Torre de la Horadada and I don,t think you could do better anywhere. Regards  Len.
