Is there a problem with postal services in Spain ? It took three weeks for a letter to arrive from UK. Is this normal in Spain ?

Yes I agree. Normally my post from Spain takes about 4 to 5 days. But when my family send post to me from the UK this can take 3 or more weeks and on occasions had "Customs Stamps" stamped on the envelopes.

Two weeks at Customs in Heathrow ? Since when ?
We don't get much mail from UK however OH had a slew of cards for her birthday last week none of which will have been posted more than a week beforehand.

It's not helped by the post code system, which merely defines an area, so all mail has to be sorted by hand.

My post from Spain takes no more than 3 days to UK . I post a lot every week from the post office. Don’t post from Card Shop, that will go very slow. My post from UK always takes a lot longer.

Same experience. Letter to UK one week, from UK three weeks. It's a mystery, as scanning at Heathrow Customs works both ways.

It's not just the UK. We get mail from there and from Guernsey on a regular basis, and occasionally from within the EU, and it always takes at least ten days.
