Hi ,

Anyone know if notice of TIE card ready for collection posted anywhere , from Alicante Police ? Maybe you can ring them ?

We were told card ready in 4 weeks , need it as soon as possible but don’t want wasted trip to Alicante to be told not ready.

Thanks.

At the time of my first appointment I was informed to collect my card in 3 weeks, in between that time I had my fingerprints appointment, I went to collect my card just after the 3 week period and it was not there and told to come back the next day! To which I did and collected my card, unfortunately it had the wrong wording and stated I was a family member of a e u citizen! Gutted! I queried this and was just shrugged off! Also there was another couple on that day who were told to try again in a further 2 weeks! Sorry I don’t have a contact number.  As for the wrong wording, excuse was a computer error! This I have heard has been corrected for any one applying after mid September. I now await confirmation from the British Embassy who picked up on the card errors for hundreds/thousands of brits applying for residency, so far the Spanish reply is all will be rectified and those issued with the wrong card are not to worry as they are legally resident! I can’t wait to see what tax bracket I will come under!! Still another story.

As for the wrong wording, not computer error, it was the fault of whoever wrote the program or the person who input the data.

Remember the saying, rubbish in rubbish out.

Hi ,

Thanks for the number. I guess I’ll need to find someone who speaks Spanish !

I was hoping that they might have a web page with a list of cards ready , but that would be too easy .  But we’re happy we have got the worst out of the way , residential.

Once we have card.... driving licence, sip and Reg at doctors all before 31st December .

Also thanks for warning if wrong text on card, we will check that.

Cheers.

if you were given a letter when you got your prints taken, you should have a lote number near the bottom. Last I read , someone with “lote119” had collected theirs this week. 116 was ready end of last week.

Thank you and is correct, but it’s worth making a call first, as I stated in my post, the first day I went to collect, my lotte number 109 was in RED stating  excepto ? On asking I was informed that batch would be in the next day.

To be exact 121 on the 18th september, 138 on 6th October.

That’s about 1 lote each day !

Seems a fair assumption, so yours should be there at the end of next week and you’re wifes at the end of the month or the beginning of November. As said re wrong wording on card, the Spanish rectified this mid September, so hopefully both your cards will have the correct wording resident at the bottom of the face side of the card. Good luck and let us know how you get on.
