Personal Indepedence Payment
Hi
My wife is disabled and currently receiving a Personal Independence Payment here in the UK. We are to move soon to Spain. Can she still claim this in Spain?
Many thanks

I get PIP and ESA and my husband gets CA for me and this continues indefinitely, or until the condition improves. I have been here a year. Contact the Overseas team of DWP as they are very helpful. The only thing is you will need to find a specialist doctor for reviews to complete the forms for DWP when the time comes. You will also both be covered for SIP which gives you the same access to Spanish healthcare as residents get although you may need to use an interpreter for appointments so you won't need private healthcare.
I hope this helps but you can pm me if you need any further help.
Many thanks.
That’s very encouraging
Rob
