Hello
In my experience there aren't any public celebrations, people/families are sometimes out at 12am to eat their tins of 12 grapes at the striking of the clock at midnight on NYE( impossible for me haha).
In normal times , pre Christmas there is an expats open air carol service near the Xmas tree in the church square ( usually early - mid Dec) with musicians / choirs etc, very enjoyable but I doubt that will go ahead again this year.
On the evening of 5th Jan there is a parade through the streets of Torrevieja , prior to Spanish Xmas -- 3 Kings Day on the 6th Jan. Mainly for children as Papa Noel & the 3 Kings are driven round & give sweets to the kids but it's still nice to go as an adult, if it's the 1st time.
Cheers
