I am a property finder for the area and am also the owner of a fully legal holiday let so know the criteria and rules surrounding the holiday let license.  Not all properties will qualify for a license and a lot of estate agents are still not advising clients of the regulations so it's important that you know them before committing to a property.

Hello Donna, DaveBev1 have posted a fantastic 6 part guide to holiday rentals and there are a lot of other posts on here about it. There are other posters stating that they had been sold property which will never qualify as a holiday let even though the agent had been told that was the purpose of the purchase.
The authorities are really hot on this at the moment and you cannot even advertise until you have the Tourist Licence and last I heard, it was taking about 6 months to obtain.

I dealt with JMG in La Siesta Torrevieja in my purchase of my holiday home and found them professional.I went with the solicitors they recommended, Rodas Consulting, and also found them good to deal with. There was an element of " wham bam thank you mam", but I suppose you expect that in a high turnover market. Everything went well, and the costs etc were exactly as laid out in my initial  consultations.
