Dialysis at Torrevieja hospital

My husband gets dialysis 3 days per week in a hospital in Glasgow as he is doing so well we thought we would like to take a holiday in Spain as our friend kindly is allowing us to stay at her apartment near to the Torrevieja University Hospital great we thought the Glasgow hospital got in touch with Torrevieja hospital gave our dates which they approved then they asked for consultant to send record of treatment which he did then they asked for everything relevant to my husbands dialysis again and again it was sent and the receptionist who is dealing with this cant seem to get anymore information from Torrevieja we are on the verge of giving up as we cant book flights or arrange insurance and as we were hoping to go last 2 weeks in May and were told treatment had to be set up at least 2 months before due holiday does not give us much hope of finding flights has anyone had this or similar problem ??

I use dialysis in Torrevieja hospital. It is excellent. Message me if you want any more info

My brother would like to travel to Spain on holiday. He needs dialysis three times a week.

Can you give me some help as regards what he needs to do other than his hospital arranging it for him.

I take it for granted as it’s a public Hospital, the service will be free.

Hi

My sister in law will be commencing on dialysis shortly and has a place in Benijofar. She is a bit apprehensive about accessing dialysis near her in torrevieja and it would need to be a public hospital. I would be grateful if you could let me know more about her options and if there was any one who would be helpful to contact and talk to

The holiday treatment was all arranged by the NHS here in the UK you just let the hospital know where you are going where you will be staying and they get a place for you in the nearest hospital that does renal care and hopefully there's a place for you to have treatment depending on your dates it's the hospitals that do the corresponding not the person who requires the dialysis hope this helps.
