We have a similar situation (but perhaps not as bad as yours).

We have a "potencia" of 3.4 kw, so we have to be careful which appliances we run concurrently.

Our house is around 30 years old, and we need a re-wire before the potencia can be increased, including a new armoured cable from the meter (in the street) to our consumer unit.

The rewire will cost around £5500.

As long as the power is whitin +/- 10 % of the nominal tension, i.e. not below 204V and not above 247 V there's nothing you can do but to buy a tension stabilizer. If not within the limits, claim from your provider.

Great answer kiljoy, however, most people will only understand the full stop at the end of your post.

We opted for the 8 hour tariff and found it did save us money. Our Bill's are about 65e a time

Hi Brendan and welcome to the forum!

In order to upgrade the "potencia" of your electrical supply, you need to obtain a new 'boletin' from an approved electrician.  I'd recommend Tony (and Elaine) of:

http://www.sparksinspain.es/

We've used their services several times and have been very happy with the quality and price.

Kind regards,

Kim

This is interesting.

Our 3.4kw potencia cannot support our pool pump, our oven and our washing machine operating concurrently.

How would a stabilizer help ?

Hi Kelvin,

We have 5.75 kw potencia - it used to support all those things, until we replaced our regular hob for an induction type 😳

Kind regards,

Kim
