I noted 2 weeks ago that I was being charged 56E every 3 months. Went to the bank, they said it was normal. I closed the account, I had been with them for about 12 years!

Open an account with N26,( online bank),it is an online bank ,euros,in Spain,cuts out all the "extras" Spanish banks add on,you can transfer your £ into your account via " wise" at inter bank rates not customer rates,worth looking at.
If you take out house insurance you pay nothing

I have have had an Expansion account with Sabadell for 10 yrs+ paying 700+ euro per month & have never paid any fees.
