commision for December and 47.50 is this a non resident charge or are all banks charging these prices interested to hear if anybody uses cheaper banks

Thanks

Hi zurgnol,

All the banks have recently changed their charges.  Sabadell is cheaper than some others for Residents, at Eu 15 per quarter, but I don't know about their non-resident charges.  The charge of Eu 47.50 may be the Non-resident certificate that the bank has to provide to the Spanish authorities on your behalf every 2 years.  The certificate doesn't cost that much, but by the time the bank has added it's admin charge, it would be.  Our first year here in 2016, when we were non-resident, Sabadell charged us Eu 35 each for the certificate.

Kind regards,

Kim

Hi there,

We have just opened a Bankinter account, and their non residencia monthly fee is 36,30 Euros. I think this is daylight robbery!!!
