Can anyone advise if I need to make an appointment to go to my bank to have them input my husband’s details because he has a new passport?

Thanks

Sylvia

At Sabadell we just called in to our local branch to update my wife’s passport no appointment made, you may also be able to do it online so worth checking.

I’ve been advised that I can do it online, however I haven’t been able to do it so unfortunately have to go to the branch.

Thanks.

If you have the Caixa app on an ipad you can make an appointment. Very easy. Did that with my adviser at Cabo Roig branch last year.

Thanks. Unfortunately I am having a problem.  I have been advised that i can update the details through the website.  I have followed the instructions but it is not accepting what I have put in.  Do you know how to do this.  I am trying to update my husband’s new passport?

Regards

Hi Sylvia. I'm afraid that I don't. All I can suggest is that if you are on the Holabank CaixaBankNow web site you click on the My Advisor icon at the top right of the screen and start a conversation. I used that facility recently and got my query resolved very quickly, and they even rang me to sort it out. Good luck, Alan.

If you email your online advisor you can then send them a photo copy of your husbands new passports details. I’ve done this in the past and I bank with La Caixa. This is has been accepted by my branch as I reside in the UK.

Thanks.  I did that and my advisor said it was not acceptable.  I either have to make an appointment or get a notary public to stamp it as valid.  Totally frustrated with the situation.

That’s totally unacceptable. The photo copy of the passport will show details of its validity dates and not require a notary’s stamp for approval. I think you should phone your branch manager and ask why you have been advised wrongly. I don’t know about you circumstances, but I’m totally fed up with the attitude of La Caixa bank’s staff at my newbranch in Santa Pola……most unhelpful since they have closed my local branch in Gran Alacant.
