Having taken out 100 euros from my Revolut account last week with no fee from the ATM provider  (at Popular Bank ATM Punta Prima) - this week they wanted a 5 euro fee from the same provider for the same transaction.

Does anyone know which local banks are not charging fees for cash withdrawals?

...

...

Sabadell do not charge for withdrawals from their own ATM's, fees apply from other machines, there is a daily limit of 600€ that can be withdrawn.

Thanks for your reply (RayD).   I had checked the Revolut terms and it wasn't a weekend or over the 200 euro monthly limit.  There wasn't a fee from Revolut it was definitely from Popular.  I tried Santander after too and their fee was also 5 euros.  In the end I tried a third cashpoint which charged a fee of 2.95 euros (c.cala Dorada). It's just odd too that there was no fee the previous week and I would like to find a no fee cashpoint.

I don't think there are any machines that give free withdrawals using cards that are not from their own bank.

Sabadell charge €1.85 per withdrawal, the cheapest I have seen.

I went to a Santander cash point in the centre of Torreveija and lifted money and there doesn't seem to be any charges as I have online banking and when checked it looks fine no charges

We still look for “ machines that give free withdrawals using cards that are not from their own bank”

Hello Juliestar,

Thank you very much for letting us know about the free cash withdrawal.👌

I would like to add that, one has to remember about monthly cash withdrawal limits set up by our banks, as we might be charged a fee anyway, if we go above it, which is the case with WISE.

On 2/11/22 Wise Bank sent me an email regarding their current charges :

 Cash withdrawals.
Our previous charges were overly complicated, and varied depending on the amount and number of times you withdrew cash within a month.

Now, you can withdraw up to 200 GBP cash per month for free and we’ll simply charge 1% of the amount for additional withdrawals above this limit.

This applies for ATM withdrawals, as well as withdrawing cash from a merchant or bank, money orders, foreign exchange or bureau de change.”

Take care

Reg
