Stephanie has provided a translation for you.
One of the things you come across is immigrants casually throwing a few Spanish words into the conversation. Why? I don't know.

Hi,we have done all of the relevant things you mentioned, everything happened so quick on the day!We have the paperwork that the Notario stamped but it’s all in Spanish. We just need to find out about this 6,000 euros,we agreed on one price and on an email says 6,000 less for the property,we need to find out why two different purchase prices!

Legendary helpful member
So if I understand you correctly, you have no comprehension of the paperwork relating to your house purchase, which, presumably, you signed?

We had our solicitor(English speaking) also estate agent (English guy)with us,that was fine.its the fact that now we have received an email stating another purchase price.a lesser amount, but others have stated it may be some kind of tax fiddle between them and that we may be hit with a bill in a couple of years time.we aren’t sure whether to pull out or not

Fully agree with your second paragraph.
As for the first, it seems that throwing in a few Spanish words, without explanation, in this case did confuse the issue.
There are some people who haven't learned the language and to them words such as Campo or Ayuntamiento and the ones mentioned earlier in the thread don't mean anything.

Then my first port of call would be Google translate or the like. Campo, for country houses, Ayuntamiento, Abogado and Notary for everyone are words that will come up time and time again, as will Correos, INSS, NIE, Habitacion Certificate, Centro de Salud, SIP, etc, etc.
It's a huge learning curve and every little helps.

Yes, it is a learning curve and some well established Members on the Forum have forgot that at one time they were new to it all, didn't know the language and they come across as dismissive of Newbies.
