Hi

I have done this recently one of the ways to do this is use a currency exchange company used currencies direct but there are others. It is a simple process just ring there up and they will talk you through it.  The advantage is you get a better rate than you bank and they will transfer the money to the other account. Hopefully this helps and someone else may have a better idea.

Cheers Andy

Hi

We have also used curriences direct.  Can recommend them as well.  Very easy, and favourable rates😎

My advice is the same, I used currency index and smart exchange, I would register with 2 and always check the rates each time as has been said as even the slightest difference can be a lot over a large transfer, you will need a Spanish bank account to transfer the funds into.

We use Excel Currencies, we used them for house purchase and each month to exchange our UK pensions to euros, as with all these type of companies the more you exchange the better the rate. They have always done us a good rate, prompt service.

The best is www.xe.com, check them on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XE.com

Set an account up with them, pay your money in, check exchange rate and transfer funds into your Spanish bank account when exchange rate is most favourable. Far better than banks can save €20,000 on a house purchase.

Banco Sabadell has an english website and english on-line banking, so a good bank to use, all offices have an english speaking personal assistant, ours is excellent in Pinoso, helps us with loads of information, not just about making.

I use transfer wise a new internet based service, based in Canada and sponsored by Richard Branson.

You initially set up an account and then using a app transfer easily, its quick and cheap plus good rates as no banks involved in the purchase of the currency.

Hi Ed

Can you advise on the name of Richard Branson's company, as I would like to look at their site with a view to possibly getting an account set up?

Many thanks, Steve
