Hi Stuart

It would be best to have a Spanish account and have direct debits for your bills.

If you have a Spanish account go into your electric supplier and water with a bill and your account number for your bank account.

Thanks Lorraine

Hi Stuart

KYC is a banking term for Know Your Customer. A couple of years ago I had a request from my bank to present myself in person with my passport. Until you visit the bank, with your passport they will not accept deposits into your account. It’s all part and parcel of the banks due diligence.

Hi Stuart.  A little bit of bad news here. As I understand it debt relating to a property, such as unpaid electricity & water charges, is attached to the property and not the person. You may therefore find you have to settle the outstanding debt before reconnection.
