I took out a private pension with the Bank of Santander approx. 15 years ago in order to get a better mortgage deal with the Bank. I have been into the Bank today and they have informed us that two years ago the rules changed and I now have no access to the money invested at all unless I have reidency in Spain which I do not have.

Has anyone come across this and do you have any advice ?

Hello You signed up before the new rules so your contract is valid. They can't do that. Ask a lawyer.
