Have been trying without success to obtain a faster internet to support my fire stick at the moment have an inadequate unstable adsl  from Eurona who don’t offer fibre.

The other issue we are having is we are on Torreta Florida ie Torreta 2 and no mast seems to reach down here was all set to go with connect Fibra until they advised out of range of mast or obstacle in the way has anybody any ideas with whom I can go with or is it still unbelievable we cannot get this as yet in Spain?

Hello Marie how are you.

Taking things for granted in Spain came be a big mistake. You need to check out everything before deciding where to live (internet, sky signal, elec, gas and water supply, doctors do they speak English, hospitals, do the sewers and roads get cleaned, schools, shops, taxis).

Best of luck

We’ve used Connect Fibra for over a year living near the edge of Torreta 2. They have an office next to Carrefour Habaneras and another in La Siesta. We get a consistent 20mb’s from dish they installed on chimney. They have masts in Torreta 2 but give them your address & they’ll be able to tell you if they’ve one near you.

Costs us €15pm & another €10pm for about 170 TV channels.

I gave them my address and Annabelle said the engineer said the mast didn’t reach this far or there may be an obstacle in the way either way they wouldn’t install however I went on there website and it says they do do our area so now I am at a loss as to where to go but my fire stick will not work on the tv we are on Torreta 2 right next to the salt lake

You’re at the bottom of the road so. Healthy spot by the lake but not maybe for BB. I wonder what speed you’re getting at the moment and how much the speed dips.

I don’t know anything about Eurona but you’re likely getting BB through the old copper wire telephone ADSL line. Don’t know in that case if a better router or a booster would make any difference but there are a few things you can do. There are good tips online and on YouTube like changing sockets to where there’s a built-in filter so if you have micro filters on the line you can remove them. Good Cat 5 / 6 cable would help especially if you’re still using using the one supplied by Eurona. Any filters, joining or extensions will weaken signal a bit. I wonder what your neighbors are using.  https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=UrbMpIW-BsU

Dishes like we have are line of sight so there must be an obstruction or lack of a high spot to mount a deflector dish near to you. I know mine is coming off a dish on a nearby pub.

I’m at the other end of T2 but in the same boat as still no fiber has been laid. I’d say nobody in T2 has fiber optic and none seems to be planned.

It is available just 20 feet across the road from me though but it might as well be 20 miles away. We’re lucky to get what we have at the moment.

I looked at their website and they’re offering unreal speeds without an installation fee and a phone and TV package thrown in for €34.90pm.

Their coverage map shows the Torretas and other areas too that have been forgotten so far by the main telephone companies when it comes to laying fiber optic. There’s are a lot of customers out there in those areas for this.

Hopefully it’ll solve all your problems, let us know how it works out.

I'm also in Toretta Florida and my system is great - much faster Wifi than in the UK - DvbLab - tell Lars that Linda recommended them - their Engineers will come out and test the area first - I have a very small dish on my upper sun deck and opted for switch/off option - so only pay when I'm in Spain - Freeview chanels are via an Irish signal from the Satelite - over 120 channels with BBC1, 2, ITV 3, 4, Sky News, Music /Kids channels etc and even the Norwegian/danish channels sometimes have brand new Movies in English with subtitles
