Hi there. We are coming over to live in the area in 2023. In the meantime we are travelling over to our apartment for holidays. Is it possible to obtain short term wifi contracts? (monthly would be fine). With a view to making the contract permanent when we move over full time. Hope you can help. Thanks.

Yes you can get switch on switch off contracts. Usually charged per calendar month, so if your visit was for instance 29 April to 3rd May, you’d get charged for two months!

... Thanks.

There are different suppliers covering different areas of Torrevieja. They have different footprints of coverage. It depends where your property is. We use ConnecFibra on a monthly on & off basis when we’re there at €30pm. That’s for WIFI speed of around 20 mbps and around 170 tv channels inc all the UK ones

Thank you Lynn. Just our luck .. we're over end of July into August. So 2 months it is! Is there a company you would recommend?

Thanks again.

Just an interesting point for you Ian, our month starts from whatever date we ask for it to be turned on & not by the calendar month. We are close to the Habaneras area. We have friends further away who have similar a similar contract with another firm.

Hi,

Although we're permanent residents,  so don't need the on/off option,  we have been using Dvb Lab for the past year with excellent customer service and never a problem with the internet. Before that we used to use Connect Fibra but the internet kept going, they took off or changed TV channels so we never knew what was going to be there, the final straw for me was that after being a customer for 5 years I enquired as to why they advertised 1000mbp on their website for the same price we were paying for 300mbp as we'd never been informed of the upgrade.  We were told that if we wanted it then we had to go into the office with our passports and NIEs, why when they already had the information?

Hope you find what your looking for and enjoy your stay here :-)

Thank you very much for the heads up. I will keep it in mind when I'm choosing an operator.
