When travel is again possible, we would like to visit Torrevieja and were thinking of using the local bus from the airport. We will be travelling with two suitcases and a folding mobility scooter. Does anyone know if it is possible to get all this clobber on the bus?  Any advice would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Hello

As far as Im aware, the bus from Alicante airport to Torrevieja is subject to demand at the moment because so few people are travelling.

They have an under bus  storage area, so as long as your folded  scooter fits, you would be fine. When travel allows check again regarding the latest bus times as the restrictions have been in place since last year so do not comply with the timetable.

Cheers

In normal times the airport bus to Torrevieja can get really busy, = 7 euro each, I would personally use a taxi if I was in your situation to make life easier, = 60/70 euro. But each to their own, good luck for the future and stay safe and healthy.

Thank you Peter3473. When we can go we will aim for the bus with taxi as plan B.

Probably be easier to rent a car, the airport companys have so may discounts on atm the amount you would pay per person for the bus or a taxi you could probably find a car for a similar price. I recommend centauro cars

You can purchase a ticket online, which gives you priority, at least in theory.

Google Costa Azul and there’s a link to buy tickets. I think there’s a 1€ booking fee.
