Hi all

I would appreciate some advice from people who know the public transport system.

I want to travel to Valencia from Torrevieja in January, I can see that there are options such as bus to Alicante and then either bus or train to Valencia.

These trips take up to 4 or 5 hours and are not cheap.

Can anybody advise the best option from their own experience.

Thanks in advance

Rgds, John.

My experience last week is that the train from Alicante to Valencia is very comfortable, takes less than  2 hours and is very cheap (from approx 15 euros) if booked in advance on Renfe website.

Can't comment on the rest of the trip.

Have not done this trip, but think that bus from Torrevieja to airport "€7", local bus from airport to Alicante "can't remember price" and train to Valencia and vice versa, can be the most economical.

Try using Rome2rio to give approx prices and routes

Hello

There is no need to include the airport, the regular buses that go from Torrevieja bus station go direct to Alicante bus station for a few €s saving time & money.

Some buses do not start from Torrevieja (e.g. Pilar de la Horadada) but stop at the bus station on route to Alicante,  so ask at the ticket window when the next Alicante bus is due.

From Alicante , the  Barcelona train stops in Valencia  & as stated ,  is not too expensive & a pleasant journey.

Cheers
