Do Uber operate in Torrevieja? Perhaps ypu might want to check that first. A quick Giogle search indicates they don't but that coukd be wrong.

I was there recently and Uber is not available.
I have used Uber in Madrid with my UK account - no issues.

There are lots of taxis all year round. You may have a longer wait in high season though.

They are still there alright but nearly impossible to get one especially if you’re downtown Torrevieja in the height of the summer & trying to get back to the outskirts. No point phoning them either in those months either as they’re just 2 busy. My family booked one for early morning to Alicante last July & he never showed up. The whole thing needs an overhaul & something like a mini-cab system added to it.
