Gary, is this box plug and play? My current free sat box stopped working, and just want a straight forward replacement.
Thanks

The satellite for UK TV is Astra 28 east unless it changed today
And it's not a Freesat box.
It makes a big difference. it's not Freesat so any satellite receiver will do that. It won't simply pick up the Freesat channels which is what the OP asked for. He will have to go through all the FTA channels to sort them out and put them in order plus, the big thing, there won't be an Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) to see what's on, just a channel listing.
A proper Humax (which they don't make any more) Freesat box will be a lot more expensive as are the ones produced by Freesat. Other satellite boxes doing the same thing will be a lot cheaper. The Humax Freesat box also allows you to set a recording on a different channel than you are watching, either in the future or better if you have two feeds. A non Freesat box will record the channel you are watching
So, yes, it does make a difference.

What is the difference between Astra 19.2 E and 28.2 E?"); display: inline-block; height: 24px; width: 24px; transform-origin: center center; transform: scale3d(1, -1, 1);">Astra 28.2 satellite is for the UK consumers hosting FREESAT, Sky channels and Astra 19.2 supports television packages for central europe broadcasters notably German and Spanish markets. If you move your dish from 28.2 to 19.2 and do a scan you will see and hear.Jan 2, 2017
