Hi I am moving to Torrevieja next month and would like to know of any trips that I can take to get to know the area and surrounding area better, any information woulld be appreciated

I would recommend using public transport. You can get to many places from Torrevieja bus station. You can also get a bus to beautiful guardamar and from there buses to Rojales caves,Elche,Orihuela etc
Coach trips are ok but with all the picking up of customers then drop offs you don't get a lot of time to site see.
