Hi All

I got the two vaccines in May 2021 in Torrevieja.  I have a letter on A4  page stating the vaccines, date and and official stamp.

Now, I'm back in Dublin and here , those vaccinated have a square barcode or QR code on their phone which must be shown on entering restaurants and other venues. My letter always causes concern when I show it.  Only once have I been refused entry to a restaurant.  How can I get that barcode on my phone.?  Maybe I should contact the HSE ( Health Services Executive ). I travelled abroad recently with Ryanair and it was accepted but while I'm in Ireland I would feel more comfortable with the one commonly used.  One cannot presume all security staff and head waiters are as intelligent as oneself.  Any ideas ?

Wow

While back in Dublin perhaps catch up with the local news?

This is a forum for Spain.

Look up the HSE of Ireland.   A mine of information.

Short Google search will obtain anything you might need to educate the hospitality industry.

Oh it’s called the EU Digital Certificate by the way.

Great. The EU digital cert .Thats it.  I'll be going back to Spain soon for the winter but will still try to get that digital cert.  Thanks again.

Hi Saddlepillar,

As you were vaccinated in Spain, you must obtain the EU digital certificate - you won't get back into Spain without it (I'm surprised you got back into Ireland without it), but it's very easy to do with the link that Maria has given you.

Kind regards,

Kim

Thanks to all who answered my question.  I'll get my neighbour to help me with Maria's link.  Thanks again .

Get someone to print off a copy of your cert  with the barcode from the Spanish  Salud site and fold it the way shown with the barcode on the front and have it laminated. Easier to have a physical copy than rooting around on your phone sometimes. The physical copy is perfectly acceptable for airports, restaurants etc.
