Any information where my wife & I can get a Covid test before return to the UK & cost?

We have a two day window & need result within.

We live near Quesada.

Hi,

Look online and find your nearest Imed hospital. Cost is €120 per test. Quick efficient service.

Hi it sounds like you might be driving if so quiron salud hospital do the PCR for €98 the results are usually back the same day. We had ours at 12 30 midday and received a text at 10 30 pm. We couldnt get onto their portal because we didnt have a spanish tel no, that said they could have sorted that for us but we decided to collect the hard copy certificate once we knew it was negative the next morning g and started our journey home from there. The certificate gave the time of result as 21 30 and that gave us enough time to have a good nights sleep and set off refreshed with 2 over nights stays in hotels and reach the eurotunnel in plenty of tme avoiding travelling during the  French curfews ( we came home a month ago).

If you are taking the ferry from santander as I understand it a direct journey from Spain to the uk requires only an LFT which is less expensive, can be done at most pharmacies with quick 30 min results. Check with brittany ferries though since I remember reading that they were insisting on pcr tests.

Check out the gov.uk site for advice on test required and remember that now you have to complete a location form and book and pay for  the 2 tests to have back in the uk whilst isolating at home.

If I can help anyone message me.

Good luck travel safe 👍

My relatives went home by Ferry a couple of weeks ago. The had the Antigen test done at IMED Torrevieja it was 40€ each result and certificate in an hour. The test is accepted on the Ferry and on arrival at U.K. port.

Yes it's as I understood LFT or antigen test is accepted on ferries. We couldnt take up that option because of lack of availability of dog friendly cabins.

Many thanks Keith, that is reassuring.

I have contacted Brittany Ferries direct without reply yet; no one of Authority seems willing to commit with a definitive answer?

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-testing-for-people-travelling-to-england#test-providers-and-type-of-test

The uk govt site advises lft ( antigen) tests or pcr tests is acceptable for entry to the uk . Hope this helps you can at least cite it in any correspondence with the ferry company.

Good luck ( dont forget your seasick tablet) 👍
