I ordered some face masks on 30th March (which have not arrived by the quoted date 7th April), from the above posted "Modern Garden" in Elche. At Least supposedly in Elche more likely China! Has anyone else had such foolish dealings with this company?

The Correos tracking code given appears to not exist either. I have just sent them a mail so I will see what they say before doing anything else, at least it was only peanuts.

Our local Pharmacy said yesterday that they will have them in on Monday morning. I wonder what they will cost, On Italian State TV yesterday, I saw similar mono use ones for sale in pharmacies in Italy at 10Euros each. Yes EACH !!!  A consumer association was asking people to send in copies of these monstrous receipts to take up the matter with state magistrates.

Take Care !!

Hi, you may find this useful if you are able to sew, or know anyone who can.

This is a sewing pattern for face masks - I’m just about to knock a few up this afternoon using a pillow case

Good luck

Formentera del Segura started issuing residents with mask yesterday.  As neither my husband, nor I, have symptoms and we're not caring for someone with Covid-19, I've asked our Ayuntamiento to donate our masks to healthcare workers.

Kind regards,

Kim

Hi K2, By coincidence, I had my mask delivered & two days later, the little lady who delivers the post, passed me a letter & her mask (elastic) fell off. She received my brand new one (in a bag). It´s not as good as normally issued, but it kept her going! Talking of which, have a look at link today:

I watched a great film last night, with Jack Nicholson not quite as nasty as "The Shining", called "The Departed" - quite an old one, 2006, with a great cast: Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Mark Wahlberg, Martin Sheen.  A really good watch.

But best so far is the new Guy Ritchie film (2019), "The Gentlemen" - a fantastic cast and Hugh Grant as you've never seen him before, brilliant!

What channel?  Amazon, Sky or Netflix.

Have you watched THE ENGLISH GAME?

I loved it.  Story about the FA cup final back in about 1882. Old Etonians vs Blackburn working men’s club   Super and ideal for both partners  Netflix

Thx Grannyrose, I'll check that one out.  Neither of us are football fans, but we both enjoyed the Brian Clough biopic.

We watched "The Gentlemen" on our IPTV box.

Kind regards,

Kim

Hi Pix Elated,

We really enjoyed "The Irishman" (Netflix, if I remember correctly?).

"The Joker" is a good film, not as gory (thank heavens!) as I thought it was going to be, really quite poignant and sad in the final analysis, but an excellent film.

I also have "Skin" on my film list - a bit of a change of direction for Jamie Bell (star of "Billy Elliott"), but he's all grown up now.

I'd forgotten about the "Downton" film, thx for the reminder - I could probably do with injecting some light relief into my viewing schedule!👍😆

Best wishes,

Kim
