Hi guys I'm hoping to rent in costa Blanca for a year from june 2022 I'm not sure where to start so any information would be greatly appreciated. I would need a 2bed as my daughter is coming with me for a while. I'm torn between costa Blanca north or south.

Thanks in advance Shelly from Ireland

Obviously it depends how long you need to be renting. Weekly rents are 400+ euros and 1000+ monthly I would say unless you are renting long term which would be cheaper. Summer prices are much higher. Villamartin is a good place to rent as there is a lot going on there and there is easy access to most things.

I recommend www.propertyrentals.com

Sorry just seen you wrote for a year. Monthly rental would be around 500 euros I would say in S Costa Blanca. and probably higher in the north.

Yes, the north is greener, cooler and wetter.
If you are coming for a year you will have to apply for Residency within the first 90 days of being in Spain and  to prove you have sufficient finances and health cover.
Depending on your dates you may also become tax resident in Spain. If you arrive in Spain in the first half of the calendar year you will be tax resident in Spain for the whole of that year and will have to submit a tax return here.

I would suggest that you have a look at the following couple of sites:

Stuff regarding bureaucracy:   https://www.citizensadvice.org.es

Anything to do with driving in Spain:   https://n332.es

The latter is run in collaboration with officers of the Guardia Civil for English speaking people.

Anyone who wants to live in Spain, EU passport holder too, has to apply for residency within the first 3 months.

On the subject of health care do you have the names of any companies that do the health insurance and have you any idea how much it is please. Is it compulsory
