I don't think at this time of uncertainties should we be name calling and being aggressive to one another as it is effecting us all.  We should be supporting each and everyone. This is a silent war that every country are fighting together not as indivual countries. No politics, no religion w...

Agree, but at 2000h tonight not a silent war:

aplausos para los cuidadores de salud

More & louder tomorrow!

Movingon, I too am agnostic.  My post, and I assume Ray's too (although I do not wish to put words in his mouth) was based on someone who has chosen "Reverend" as his forum name.  Reverend's response to Buzzby was rude, unkind and added zero value to the thread.

We find ourselves in very difficult times, yet it seems that the usual suspects are incapable of checking the value of their posts before pressing the "Post your reply" button.  Perhaps some people will never be capable of empathy because they're too busy deriving pleasure from attempting to...

... belittle others..... 😔

Thanks Kimmy,

As ever your post above says it all.

"Reverend" has been nasty towards several on this forum.

Others have something in common with the unhappy "Rev" perhaps.

This is certainly a time to show empathy and not selfishness 😔

Best wishes

Maria

Remember to "Report" any nasty posts, and we will get rid of them just like we've got rid of the Reverent!

RayD I am staggered and so impressed with your vast and commanding knowledge - we are truely lucky to have your insights and interpretation of the information out there on particular topics. With the wildfire, almost cancerous spread of fake news across forums and the internet it is not always easy now to get should we say "the whole truth" account though it has always been difficult but more difficult now I would argue.

Hence the dilemma - " If you don't read the newspapers, you're uniformed. If you do read them, you're misinformed" and that applies equally to the internet.I am therefore glad of your many contributions up here and may you continue onwards.

Finally, I happened to catch Piers Morgan interviewing an ex SAS soldier who currently lives in Malaga during this lockdown - you may of seen him on sky news in the evening program " The Pledge" , I think his name is Phil Campion. To paraphrase him he said that the vital key to survival in the "danger zone"  is information- intelligence gathering the best, most up to date information you believe to be reliable and stands to some scrutiny so that you make life saving decisions and not fatal ones. By his own admission he has been neck high up in deep sh💩..in the places in the world we don't know exist probably so if that's the mantra to survival in a crisis - i am sold period.

Thank you friend. Stay safe, be well, survive !😆🙋

Fake news?.

I am loathe to put out this sort of story without verification. & certainly I can not.

I have received (separately) from only two ONLY Spanish sources.

The only reason is if anyone else has heard such stories.

Yesterday: Tuesday: Estanco´s will close. ( I asked this morning the estanquero ) whom  explained absolutely  No.

Today: (received): Tuesday is Total lockdown with no permitted on the street for whatever reason. quote (cierran todo y el ejercito a la calle). ie:They close everything and the army to the street

Again, I have no verification in any other source except "word of mouth". (should I say txt)  In view of this & for the only reason is:  I am just wondering if such stories have been received by anyone else.

Thx Buzzby.

I take it you have yet to avail yourself of "Jim's Guides" from our resident guru, Jim Taylor?  I consider him the "Daddy" of the forum, although he may prefer "Elder Statesman" ;o)  I won't name all the other brilliant contributors on here - there are so many and I'd hate to cause offence by missing someone off.

Fortunately, the trolls are rare and, as you've seen, Alex acts swiftly when the likes of "Reverend" make the mistake of targeting members.

Best wishes,

Kim
